Here we have a particularly beautiful Imperial Le Baron pillar less sedan from 1973. This is super rare and the only 4-door sedan we know of in the UK. The 4 door is actually far scarcer than the 2 door and being an original triple black is surely the ultimate colour scheme for the Le Baron. This is a great opportunity to grab a great deal as the car needs some minor finishing….hence the great price.

These Imperials have the same running gear as the epic Dodge Charger and therefore have that famous 440 V8 7200cc engine with the bullet proof 727 auto 3-speed transmission. The engine is very sweet and runs very well, the car has just had a fresh set of plugs fitted too. 4 new tyres were fitted in recent times and the car had a new water pump.

The car is totally rust free and was imported from California. All the required paperwork is available to register the car in the UK, all duties (NOVA) have been paid).

We have had this car stored indoors in our classic car showroom for a customer and he has asked us to sell the car on his behalf as he now wants to own a car that he can fit in his garage at home and therefore we are welcoming part exchanges…what have you got?

We have carried out the necessary electrical work for the UK MOT test and have generally fettled with the car and the only remaining job is to fit a new brake servo *just acquired from USA and will be provided with car*. Then she is ready for the MOT test. The car needs to be registered for the UK and therefore the new owner will be the first registered owner in the UK.

The car has had a full re-spray approximately 2 years ago and therefore the body is fabulous. Due to the usual dry state sun damage to the vinyl roof, this was removed at the time of the re-spray.

The fully loaded interior is also in wonderful shape; the black-buttoned ‘floating cushion’ seats are in remarkable condition. Everything works as it should in there. These cars were like an American Rolls Royce where it comes to interior luxury.

The car was owned by the US Navy from new and was used to ferry the top brass around. The car served in both California and Mexico. Interestingly the car comes with its original build sheet…this is a very rare and nice to have item.

So in summary this is a very very nice example of a super rare Imperial Le Baron from 1973, there is very little to do to get this car back on the road. The price of this car MOT’ed in this condition would easily be excess of £10k and prices are rising fast.

We can offer a very competitive delivery service to anywhere in the UK. We would welcome a part exchange too.

We are based in a 5500 square foot showroom/workshop in the North Hampshire countryside in Overton; we are just 10 minutes from the M3 junction at Basingstoke, or 10 minutes from the A34 at Whitchurch. Overton railway station is a short walk away.
