Triumph Spitfire Mk4 1300cc 1974
A very lovely example – Now Sold
This Triumph Spitfire was purchased new from Armstrong Massey in Hull. RRH 545N has been owned by the same family from new, changing hands between daughter and father and then the chap who traded the car in with us. The Triumph has covered 82,063 miles from new and has come to us in very good order. The Triumph comes with a well-documented history file, original upholstery and original factory hard top in very good condition.
RRH 545N is smartly presented with a very tidy bodyshell with no rust problems having benefitted from a body restoration in 1999. The restoration included new door skins, rear valance and rear wing lower panels. All rubber seals, door handles, bumpers and the windscreen were replaced and the wheels were shot blasted and tyres replaced. Previous to this work in 1991, the engine was stripped down and rebuilt with new piston rings and main bearings. The Spitfire has a new exhaust and sounds just great.
The history file contains invoices for the past 24 years and details all maintenance and servicing. The Triumph has been very well maintained and drives superbly with excellent performance. The engine feels superb, the car had a brand new re-conditioned gearbox fitted during early 2014 and is a car that is now ready to use and enjoy.
The Triumph retains very original, clean upholstery. The dashboard, seats and door cards are all in smart original condition. The underside and bulkhead have been protected with black wax and the boot area is tidy.
